reportage
At the heart of Chris’ work lies a desire to be a fly on the wall; to cover news and social features as accurately and sympathetically as possible. Over the years he has been witness to incredible events and on-going change across Asia, and beyond. From war-torn Bosnia in the early 90s to the 1997 Hong Kong Handover; the Asian Economic Crisis and fall of Indonesia’s Suharto; the 2004 Indian Asian Tsunami, Kashmir Earthquake and the short but vicious 2008 war in Georgia, he has recorded them all. More recently he has been focusing on longer-term trends in migration and environmental concerns ranging from uranium poisoning in the Punjab to plastic pollution in Asian cities.
